October- Heritage Month
10/31/09 Show Low Main Street Annual Trunk or Treat
Area businesses line up decorated cars and pass out candy to children. Costume contests, music, live radio remote from Power 97.5.  Contact Sharon Adams at 537-8181 for more information.

November- Gratitude Month

11/11/09 Veterans Day Activities
Located at the Pinetop-Lakeside Veteran's Memorial at 11:00 am.

11/11/09 Veterans Parade and Luncheon
Co-sponsored by the Springerville Head Start and American Legion Post 30, the parade is hel annually to honor our veterans and lunch is held at the American Legion Hall immediately following the parade.  The American Legion also has an official flag disposal ceremony prior to the luncheon. 

11/27/09 The "Lights Before Christmas" Contest Begins
Calling all Griswolds!!!  We’re looking for the home with the most Christmas Cheer for the”Lights before Christmas” contest at Show Low Bluff.
The light contest will begin November 28th, 2008 and end at 5pm December 22nd, 2008. Homes will be judged the evening of the 22nd.


December- Home For The Holidays Month

12/01/09-12/31/09 Show Low Shines
This month long event includes community activities that are a part of the season.  A brochure is planned highlighting the various activities being held in the Show Low vicinity. The event begins with the lighting of the Victorian House the day after Thanksgiving and runs through the month of December.

12/01/09-12/12/09 12 Days of Christmas & Annual Christmas Lighting
8th Annual 12 Days of Christmas celebration.  Festivities begin December 1 with the annual Snowflake Town Lighting and Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony at Heritage Park.  Santa will be there with goodie bags for the kids.

12/04/09 The Snow Ball- Teen Event
The Snow Ball is held the 1st Friday of December. This formal dance is for Jr. High School Teens from around the White Mountains.  This event includes dancing, door prizes, games, music and concessions.  Join us at the Show Low City Campus from 7-9 pm.

12/05/09 Show Low Main Street's Christmas Tree Lighting
The Show Low Main Street organization along with local businesses present the official Show Low Christmas Tree Lighting and festivities at the Festival Marketplace at 5:30 pm.

12/05/09 Woodland Park Holiday Festival & Christmas Tree Lighting
From 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm at Woodland Park in Pinetop

12/10/09 Gingerbread Lane
Children are welcome to visit with Santa Claus at Gingerbread Lane. This community-supported event includes hot cocoa, cookies, goodie bags and a visit with the big man himself!  Parents - bring your cameras to get a photo of your children with Santa and enjoy activities provided by local businsses.  Festivities are from 4-8pm.

12/10/09-12/18/09 The Gingerbread Village on Gingerbread Lane
This community built Gingerbread Village features hand made gingerbread houses from individuals and groups from across the White Mountains.  The display is available for viewing throughout the week.  Locations and Times TBD.

12/13/09 White Mountain Chorale Perfomance
Located at the Blue Ridge School Auditorium at 4:00 pm.

12/17/09 Santa's POOLar Party
Families are encouraged to come out and join Santa for a dip in the pool.  This Family Fun Event is the coolest party on the mountain!  It is a splashing good time for the entire family, plus, the pool is 84 degrees!  Games, food and fun will be available for everyone!  3-5pm.

12/22/09 The "Lights Before Christmas" Contest Ends
